Server Terms of Service
These Terms of Service are the supreme code established for the purpose of ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all users of the Minecraft server, Discord, and Open Chat (hereinafter collectively referred to as "this Server") provided by Rearth Server, as well as clarifying the gameplay and code of conduct on this Server. In principle, these terms do not apply outside of this Server. Rearth Server is operated on a non-profit basis using funds from the operational staff.
Chapter 1: Basic Rules
This chapter defines the basic rules that apply commonly to all services of this Server.
Article 1: Prohibited Actions
Users must not engage in the following actions.
1.Aggressive/Inappropriate Remarks
Prohibits speech and behavior that hurts others (verbal abuse, slander, defamation, discriminatory remarks, sexual remarks, inflammatory remarks), behavior that inconveniences others, and behavior that intentionally damages the reputation of this Server using false or exaggerated information. The use of terms separately designated by the staff is strictly forbidden (See *1).
2.Invasion of Privacy
Prohibits disclosing others' personal information without their permission, actions that infringe on third-party privacy, and impersonating others. This also includes
- Sending screenshots, etc., of other players' messages to services provided by this Server (Discord, etc.) without their permission.
- Disclosing the content of private messages (/msg, /tell, etc.) without the person's permission.
3.Inappropriate Expressions
Prohibits the use of NSFW (political, sexual, violent, grotesque content), or words and symbols related to significant historical tragedies or war crimes. This applies to all content, including MCIDs, item names, map art, etc.
4.Spreading False Information
Prohibits spreading false information or information that disadvantages others regarding plugins, console messages, commands, etc.
5.Chat Spam
Prohibits remarks that ignore context or the continuous posting of identical or similar messages.
6.Advertising/Fraudulent Links
Prohibits posts for promotional purposes or sharing links to fraudulent websites.
7.Malicious Mentions
Prohibits the excessive use of mentions without an emergency or legitimate reason, or immediately deleting a message after mentioning someone. This also includes notifications via the reply function.
8.Excessive Harassment
Prohibits persistent or obstructive behavior that interferes with others' play. It is especially considered a violation if the behavior continues despite a warning from the involved party.
9.Unfair Advantages (Exploits)
Prohibits actions that gain an unintended advantage, such as using exploits, technical loopholes, glitches, using clients or MODs not permitted by this Server, or using automation tools (macros, etc.). "Glitches" here refer to using specifications (bugs or flaws) not anticipated by the staff and not explicitly permitted.
10.Cheating
Prohibits the use of unfair tools that significantly compromise fairness, such as X-Ray (vision cheats), Fly Hacks (movement cheats), Kill Aura (PvP assist cheats), etc.
11.Causing High Server Load
Prohibits actions that place an excessive load on the server, such as installing large-scale Redstone circuits, large-scale terrain generation with lava or water (lava casts, etc.). If unsure, consult the staff in advance.
12.RMT (Real Money Trading)
Prohibits trading in-game items or services for real-world currency, or soliciting such trades.

Prohibits the use of skins that cause discomfort to others, transparent/translucent skins, or deformed skins such as 4D skins.
15.Condoning/Encouraging Violations
Prohibits ignoring and not reporting another's violation while aware of it, or encouraging/assisting in violating behavior.
16.Uncooperative Attitude Towards Staff
Users must immediately comply with warnings and recommendations from the staff. Actions that seek loopholes in the terms are not justified. Objections to the terms or staff decisions must be made in the designated location (e.g., support server), and assertions in other locations are prohibited.
Article 2: Account Rules
1.Prohibition of Lending/Transferring Accounts
Prohibits lending or transferring one's own account to others for any reason.
2.Prohibition of Bot Usage
Prohibits users from having bots join this Server.
3.Connection Restrictions
Prohibits connections using VPNs or proxies, and connecting with multiple accounts by the same person. If family members or cohabitants play with separate accounts, they must report this to the staff via the support server in advance. Family account applications from users who have been banned (unless the ban reason was unauthorized use of a sub-account) will not be accepted.
4.Sub-Account Use by Certified Streamers
Only staff-certified streamers are permitted to use sub-accounts under the following conditions
- Video recording or streaming must be done on the pre-registered main account.
- Prohibits using a sub-account to gain an advantage in the game (e.g., receiving Vote rewards twice, performing tasks in parallel).
- Must report to the staff each time recording or streaming is done on the main account.
- Violation of the above may result in penalties for both accounts and revocation of certification.
Chapter 2: In-Game Rules
This chapter defines specific codes of conduct within the Minecraft server.
Article 1: Town, Nation, and Territory Rules
1.Administrator Responsibility
Town administrators (King, CoKing, Mayor, CoMayor, Assistant, etc.) must fully understand the contents of Section 6 of this article and are responsible for permission settings. The staff provides no compensation for theft resulting from inadequate permission settings.
2.Town/Nation Names
Town and nation names and tags must be in English alphabet, and no symbols other than hyphens (-) and underscores (_) are allowed. Prohibits names containing inappropriate content (per Chapter 1, Article 1, Section 3), names confusingly similar to existing towns/nations, or names for advertising purposes.
3.Malicious Territory Acquisition
Prohibits acquiring territory or establishing towns intended to obstruct the territorial expansion of other nations/towns as harassment. Furthermore, surrounding specific areas established by the staff or intentionally leaving gaps in territory acquisition is considered "enclave" (detached) territory acquisition.
4.Territory Expansion Restrictions
- "Claim arms" (arm-shaped territories) are restricted to 3 chunks wide and 3 chunks long, and branching them is prohibited.
- Acquiring sea territory is prohibited. Acquiring territory not connected to the mainland (enclaves) is also prohibited. Territory must be acquired continuously over land.
[Special Provisions for Life Server]
- Claim arms exceeding 3 chunks in width are permitted only for protecting infrastructure (roads, railways, canals) but must not be used for territorial expansion.
- Expanding territory from existing land territory onto the sea is permitted only when protecting decorative structures (e.g., ships).
- Only when there is no more expandable land on an isolated island, expanding territory linearly to the nearest other landmass is permitted. However, this must not be used to obstruct the expansion of other towns.
5.Large-Scale Landscape Alteration
Prohibits actions that significantly damage the natural landscape (e.g., large-scale water removal, creation of artificial islands).
6.Joining Towns for Unjust Reasons
- Prohibits joining a town for the purpose of theft. However, this does not apply if the town is set to allow anyone to join freely (Open).
- Joining a town for the purpose of griefing is entirely prohibited, regardless of the town's join settings (Open, Invite-only, etc.).
7.Dealing with Exiled Town Members
Town administrators can exile members who do not follow humanitarian rules. In doing so, they must give the exiled person an opportunity to retrieve their items and a grace period to dismantle their structures. Only if the exiled person fails to comply may their structures be dismantled and items removed. However, if malicious behavior is the cause of exile, all property of the member becomes the property of the town.
Article 2: Player Conduct Rules
1.Self-Management of Resources
Users are responsible for managing their own assets, such as storing valuables in Ender Chests or personal plots.
2.Theft
Prohibits theft within personal plots, and theft of residents' resources by town administrators or those with 'Trust' permissions. Inviting others to a town for the purpose of theft and then immediately exiling them is also prohibited.
3.Harassment (Griefing)
Prohibits malicious harassment (griefing), such as chaotically placing/destroying blocks, or indiscriminately placing water or lava. This prohibition applies even if the town's permission settings are inadequate. Furthermore, actions within 3 chunks of wilderness adjacent to a territory are treated the same as actions within the territory.
4.Setting Traps
[Special Provisions for Life Server]
Setting any and all traps intended to harm or kill others is entirely prohibited, regardless of the reason.
[Special Provisions for War Server]
Setting traps intended to harm or kill others is prohibited. However, it is permitted in the following cases
- When set in the Wilderness.
- When set as part of a war (Gank).
5.PVP and Warfare
- Prohibits settings that allow PVP within territory, turning territory into wilderness for the purpose of killing, or killing using items, etc. However, this does not apply to PVP by consent in arena plots or when PVP is permitted by official server functions like the war system.
- In areas where PVP is not intended (safe zones like the server spawn point), abusing the combat tag system to intentionally damage others is prohibited.
[Special Provisions for Life Server]
- Prohibits using teleport functions maliciously to harm others.
[Special Provisions for War Server]
- During war, delay tactics such as continuously hiding underground are prohibited. However, the use of invisibility potions is permitted.
- During war, using teleport functions to move directly into enemy territory is prohibited.
- Surrounding the flag area with lava, etc., during war, or attacking by pouring lava from above between the declaration of war and the end of the war, is prohibited.
- Declaring or starting a war against a town whose war immunity (Siege Immunity) is active is prohibited.
- If violations of these terms are confirmed during a war, the staff may, at their discretion, take measures such as nullifying the war or forcing the defeat of the violating side.
6.Setting /sethome
Must not set /sethome within another person's town territory or within 3 chunks of wilderness adjacent to it.
[Special Provisions for War Server]
Exceptionally permitted only within outposts.
7.Outposts
[Special Provisions for War Server]
- Outposts are temporarily permitted only for waging war and are prohibited for use in territorial expansion or obstructing other towns.
- Setting up one outpost plot is permitted near specific areas established by the staff (excluding the server spawn point). However, it cannot be set within 3 chunks of that area.
- Outposts must be used in a war session against the target town within one week of being established. If not used within this period, the staff may remove it without notice.
- Intentionally abandoning and re-acquiring outposts to evade this time limit is prohibited.
Article 3: Special Structures, Items, etc. Rules [Special Provisions for Life Server]
1.Infrastructure
- Infrastructure (ice roads, railways, etc.) must start construction from a town's territory.
- Destroying, obstructing the function of, or obstructing users of infrastructure built in the wilderness is prohibited.
- Structures associated with infrastructure (e.g., station buildings) are not considered infrastructure and are recommended to be built within town territory.
2.Map Art
- Prohibits creating map art containing inappropriate expressions (per Chapter 1, Article 1, Section 3).
- Plagiarizing map art created by others by using a map at the location, or obstructing its creation, is prohibited.
3.Item Protection
- Item protection (/ic) cannot be removed by anyone other than the owner. Renaming or modifying it with an anvil is also prohibited.
Article 4: Chat Rules [Special Provisions for War Server]
Only on the War Server, the following exceptions are made to vitalize communication.
- Permitted Remarks: Relatively mild inflammatory remarks such as "ez," "noob" (へたくそ), etc., are not subject to penalties.
- Prohibited Remarks:
- Discriminatory or insulting expressions (e.g., "die," "retard," "idiot," etc.).
- Discriminatory expressions towards specific game platforms.
- Remarks encouraging self-harm or suicide.
- Sexual harassment, discriminatory remarks based on race, religion, or gender.
- Violent threats.
Article 5: Regulation of Structures/Specifications at Staff Discretion
For structures used in ways unforeseen by the staff, or structures/devices that cause or may cause excessive load on the server, the staff may, at their discretion, prohibit their use or remove them without prior notice. This applies even to things that were previously permitted or had no clear regulations, if problems are later discovered. Users are strongly encouraged to consult the staff in advance, especially when building large-scale or special devices. Regardless of prior permission, if problems are confirmed during operation, measures such as usage restrictions or removal may be taken at the staff's discretion.
Chapter 3: Support, Penalties, and Compensation
Article 1: Use of the Support Server
The ticket function within the support server must be used according to the following rules.
1.Appropriate Use
Tickets must be used for confidential issues such as content including personal information, bug reports, or emergency response requests. Use for trivial reasons is prohibited.
2.Prohibition of Misconduct
Prohibits altering or concealing evidence for the purpose of penalizing others or evading one's own penalties.
3.Prohibition of Inappropriate Requests/Actions
Prohibits threats, intimidation, insults, privacy invasion, unreasonable demands on staff, excessive complaints about the same content, spam, etc. If these actions are confirmed, the ticket will be forcibly closed.
4.Prohibition of Excessive Tickets
For general questions, first use the #質問 channel on the official Discord. Only create a ticket if the issue is still unresolved.
5.Reporting Deadline
Reports regarding rule violations must, in principle, be made within one week of the event's occurrence. Reports made after this period may not be addressed, as preserving evidence and understanding the situation becomes difficult.
6.Ticket Closure
Tickets with no response from the user or failure to follow staff instructions may be forcibly closed after notification.
Article 2: Penalty Regulations
Types of Penalties
- Minecraft Server: Warning, Mute (chat ban), Temporary BAN, Permanent BAN.
- Discord Server: Penalties escalate with the number of violations: 1-day Timeout, 7-day Timeout, Restricted Role assignment.
Supplementary Penalty Information
- Warnings do not reset and accumulate.
- Actions that induce violations may result in the inducer being penalized.
- Penalties are judged fairly and impartially at the staff's discretion, based on circumstantial evidence. Penalties will not be issued based solely on anti-cheat tool detection or testimony.
- If a mistaken ban is suspected, a re-investigation will be conducted.
Criteria for Permanent BAN
When the staff determines there is no intent to improve after receiving multiple warnings or penalties. In particular, any violation confirmed after a final warning is subject to severe penalties, including a permanent BAN.
The following actions are, in principle, subject to immediate permanent BAN
- Unauthorized Use of Sub-Accounts: If a sub-account is used without application, that account is subject to BAN. If the violation is malicious, the main account may also be subject.
- Use of Cheats: Use of unfair tools that significantly compromise game fairness, such as X-ray, Fly hacks.
- Malicious Spam/Griefing/Attack Actions: Actions that intentionally cause damage to the server, or the threat thereof. Even behavior outside this Server may be subject to penalties if there is reliable evidence.
Article 3: Objections
Continuing to protest or otherwise obstruct staff proceedings after the penalty has been finalized and explained by the staff may be subject to additional penalties. Objections to penalties must be made within one week of the penalty notification. Any objections made after this period will not be addressed.
Article 4: Compensation and Rollbacks
1.Compensation
[Special Provisions for Life Server]
In cases of griefing or theft, items will be returned to the victim only if they are recovered from the violator. If unrecoverable, compensation will be made with items of equivalent value from the violator's possessions.
[Special Provisions for War Server]
Item compensation will not be provided for any reason whatsoever.
2.Rollback Process
- In the event of large-scale griefing, a rollback process may be performed to restore the affected area to its state before the incident.
- This is not for the purpose of item compensation, and items lost due to the rollback will not be compensated.
- If it is discovered that a rollback was caused by a false report, the reporter will be severely penalized.
- In the event of severe damage from cheating, etc., the entire world data may be rolled back.
Chapter 4: Disclaimers and Other
Article 1: Disclaimers
1.Staff Authority
The staff holds the final decision-making authority on all matters related to this Server. Even for actions not explicitly stated in these terms, if they are reasonably judged to be inappropriate from the perspective of maintaining order or the credibility of this service, or if they are judged to be equally or more malicious in light of the spirit of the terms or other clauses, measures such as intervention or penalties will be taken against the player.
2.Policy on Matters Not Covered by Terms
For matters not described in these terms, or when doubts arise about the interpretation of these terms, the staff may establish new policies or make final judgments via official announcements. Users must comply with the content of these announcements just as they do with these terms.
3.Disputes Between Users
This Server bears no responsibility for disputes or damages arising between users.
4.Service Termination
The staff bears no responsibility for any damages incurred by users if this Server terminates its service.
Article 2: Compliance and Revision of Terms
1.Understanding Terms and Self-Responsibility
Users are responsible for reading and understanding these terms before using this Server. In case of a violation, the user bears full responsibility for the consequences.
2.Confirming Violations
If unsure whether one's actions violate the terms, or if there are doubts about the interpretation of these terms, it is strongly recommended to check with the staff on the support server before acting.
3.Revision of Terms
These terms may be revised without notice for the purpose of maintaining a healthy and fair play environment. Users are responsible for periodically checking the terms and complying with the latest content at all times.
Article 3: Legal Action
If disruptive or attack actions such as DDoS attacks, hacking, or griefing are confirmed, evidence will be preserved, and legal action or reporting to relevant authorities will be taken. Players must fully understand that such actions entail legal liability and must not perform them. If suspicious behavior is confirmed, report it to the staff immediately.
